Roland and Angie Bender opened Bender’s Shoes in Grand Rapids, MN in 1973 and added the Hibbing, MN store in 1976. A full-service shoe store, Bender’s Shoes specialized in comfort footwear for the family, and exceptional customer service. Over the years the business has grown and stores have expanded to include quality name brand clothing, in addition to the areas largest selection of shoes. Today Bender’s Shoe & Sport is a favorite destination for quality shoes and clothing. Each store location has it’s own unique flavor and selection of brands and styles. Owner, Craig Bender is committed to providing customers of all ages the same pleasurable and memorable shopping experience that has kept them returning over the years. It’s not unusual to have three generations of a family shopping together in our store. Parents who have been fitted for shoes at Bender’s Shoe & Sport as a child, are now bringing in their children for shoes.
